Superego
Most important system which shape your personality is superego.
Now what exactly superego is?
Superego is the best representation of your personality which enforced or developed by society surrounds you or your parents.
It is nothing but the internal representations of your gained values,ideals.Superego mainly checks what is acceptable by the society or by family.Superego guides person to act only that way which praise by others.
Superego takes consideration of real things before action.
Ex.when widow want to get marry to live like a simple human being it is her wish according to Id .
Ego try to find perfect mate to live normal life .
But superego try to enforced moral values taught by society and family ,so whether Id demands for remarry she cannot because of superego.
Another example of poor and hardworking men whose Id demands for lavish life .his Ego guides in reality to fulfil his wish by taking loans .but superego help him to manage without taking bank loans.but is his superego is developed by parents that taking loans without capacity to repay is good then he will chose lavish life.but parents or society taught him that doing this is not good practice so he will do more hard work to mange more money.
In short ,Superego is your personality guide and philosopher. Superego is worked on the principle of reward and punishment. Means any his deed give him back reward or punishment so accordingly he work.
Superego work according to the conscience which incorporate by the parents during childhood and the ideal ego.
Conscience is the nature of thinking which mainly think of reward and punishment.Means if any child get punished for eating meat then his ego develop like that way,but at the same time another child get reward for properly finish his serve of meat then it is ideal for his conscience.
Introjection is the mechanism by which superego get incorporate. Child always follow or introjects superego which parents teach.conscience make person to feel guilty or punishable for bad deeds.
Ego ideal make person rewarding for good deeds
As the age grows parental pressure get substituted by control of self called self control.
thus proper build of superego develops proper self control.
Superego functions for self controlling, those actions which are needed by Id,searched by Ego in real but controlled to take action if found that condemned by society.
Ex.Sexual desires need of Id because it is based on subjective pleasure.
So accordingly ego try to find fulfil persons desire in reality called objective pleasure .But superego guides according his parental or society introjection to think before action and get ready for either punishments or rewards
In short ,Id is biological (need of human body),ego is psychological arise in mind ,superego is socially compare actions (social acceptance).
